Feb, 2013 — Zenescope Entertainment has announced plans for a follow up mini-series to 2012’s critically acclaimed hit series Grimm Fairy Tales’ ROBYN HOOD. The new series entitled ROBYN HOOD: WANTED will hit shelves May 2013. The original Robyn Hood mini-series was announced last summer to a slew of excited fans, and the press took notice as well. After great reviews and fan support, the iconic new character brought Zenescope into the spotlight with industry-leading cosplayer, Jessica Nigri, portraying the character at New York Comic Con, and Wired.com doing featured interviews and retrospectives on the popular comic.

Robyn Hood: Wanted picks up shortly after the first series ended. Robyn has found her way out of the realm of Myst and back into the modern world. Her unwavering pursuit of justice has taught her enemies not to cross her, and has shown her friends a new level of loyalty.

Series writer Pat Shand had this to say:

“I’m thrilled to return to this character. With “Wanted,” we are upping the stakes, introducing some new major threats, and really getting into what makes Robyn tick. I remember describing the series as “Veronica Mars” meets “Game of Thrones,” and I think that is truer in this sequel than ever before. Everything is on the line this time around. We’re going to see Robyn in a whole new situation which will redefine her in ways that readers will have never imagined.”

Robyn Hood: Wanted will be available for order in Diamond’s March Previews on shelves next week.

For those who may have missed its original release, the original Robyn Hood mini-series trade paperback will be available on store shelves February 27, 2013.

Zenescope has been making some major announcements as of late, with the recent announcement of their comic event UNLEASHED, and their extensive convention schedule.

Fans of Zenescope can get their hands on a limited edition promotional poster for Robyn Hood WANTED at their convention booths throughout March. For more information, visit Zenescope’s website at www.zenescope.com or its Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Zenescope.

To be honest, as much as I love the Robyn Hood story, my favorite aspect of the series was the art, both covers and interior! Can’t wait for more.

I have not had to opportunity to read a Robyn Hood Story, I have taken up learning to draw and I love the art work. I was hoping to win to be introduced to the story line. Picked or not, Thank you for doing the give away.

Robyn Hood… What attracted me was pure curiosity. “A female, playing Robin Hood?” I thought to myself. “I’m sure she’ll be more believable than Kevin Costner was.” What a pleasant surprise, I was right. I feel in love! Absolute love. For the first time here was a fictional female character who wasn’t trying to have sex with my eyes. Here was a dominant force to be recognised. I’d mentioned in a review I wrote of #2 that 5 issues simply wasn’t going to be enough. There was too much we (the reader) needed to know about this character. We required further exploration, a thirst for knowledge if you will. We grew attached. We recognised Pat’s talent to paint pictures with words (with assistance from the artists of course) that 5 issues needed to be more. I, like many others are glad Robyn is returning, to which I can only say this.

    Zenescope. We thank you.

The best thing is the story and villains, to see her finally get her revenge in the finale was justifiably great.

I haven’t gotten to read Robyn Hood yet, but she seems like a hot kick ass female. I can’t wait to read it. The art is amazing.

I think what I like most about RH is that she is a hero with flaws. She does waht she does for good reasons, and sometimes those things include breaking the law, but the ends justify the means. RH is relatable and a better hero because you can see her struggling with all the different choices she ahs to make.

Lets be honest… It was the boobs that drew me in… Story line kept me interested, deep character, but it was the boobs that made me buy at first (that and the fact I love Zenescope in general)

I LOVE Robyn Hood because she is one kick ass heroine. Yeah, maybe not heroine in the typical sense of the word but she stands up to those that need to have their priorities put in check. She is a vigiliante and in a sense reminds me of another batty hero who I also absolutely love.

Robyn hood drew me in because I have always been a fan and couldn’t wait to see how zenescope twisted it with a female character. Turns out you did an amazing job! Loved the art, did the story. Her getting revenge was one of the most satisfying things in awhile.

She fought her way through pain and adversity against all odds to win out in the end – great writing, great art, and the most AWESOME covers a fan could ask for!
