Zenescope at Wizard World Chicago: Grimm Animated Screening and Signings

 

Zenescope will be making a stop in Chicago this weekend for Wizard World Chicago. Attendees will be able to visit them at booth #1200, where there will be several members of the creative team signing throughout the weekend, including Ralph Tedesco, Harvey Tolibao, Franchesco, and Jamie Tyndall. Zenescope has made several exclusives specifically for Wizard World Chicago which will also be available at the booth.

Signings

Franchesco and Ralph Tedesco will be signing at the booth at various times throughout the weekend. Be sure to stop by booth #1200 to meet them. Here are the other scheduled signing times.

Zenescope will also be debuting the Grimm Fairy Tales Animated pilot at the show during their panel on Saturday, August 10th at 6:00 pm in room 42. Come check out the full, unedited pilot episode and be a part of the pilot review process. Panel attendees will be asked to fill out a survey about the pilot, and will be rewarded for taking part in the survey. Please be aware, this pilot is for Mature audiences only. Do not bring your kids.

We’re back from San Diego Comic Con and we thought, maybe we should visit the other coast for a con. Sure enough, Boston Comic Con is here and so are we!

You can find us this weekend at tables AA511 , AA512 , AA513 .

We brought along a very limited number of San Diego Comic Con exclusives so that our east coast fans have a shot at picking them up. Be sure to get to the booth early, as these will be gone fast!

We also have this excellent exclusive for Boston Comic Con as well, with the cover by Ale Garza. We’re glad to be in Boston, especially after all that happened earlier this year. It was a hard time for the city, but now we can put it all behind us and get back to geeking out over comics!

Zenescope Announced Silent Charity Auction to Support Wounded Warriors Project

At San Diego Comic Con, on Saturday, from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, Zenescope will be holding a silent charity auction at booth 2301. The original artwork will be up for auction, with proceeds going towards the Wounded Warriors Project. Fans are asked to come to booth 2301 to place a bid on their desired pieces, and continue to check back at the booth throughout the day to see if they are the winning bid. The final bids will be collected at 6:00pm and the covers will be distributed.

The staff will be dressed in camouflage all day Saturday , and will be selling the Grimm Fairy Tales Wounded Warriors Special comic all day long. Zenescope also created two San Diego Comic Con exclusives for this comic book. They were done by cover artists Mike DeBalfo, and Anthony Spay.

The original art from these covers will be among those available at the auction. The company is selling these comics, exclusives and running this auction to help support a very worthy cause.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit organization whose stated mission is to “honor and empower wounded warriors” of the United States Armed Forces with a vision to “foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history”.The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) works to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.

Zenescope asks their fans, as well as attendees, to stop by booth 2301 on Saturday, and support the Wounded Warriors Project at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.

Sign up with just your email address, and you’ll receive a free SDCC exclusive numbered button. You’ll get a picture at our booth and we’ll post a picture with the text: “#____ Just joined the #HitList!”

Then the game begins. #SDCC attendees will be on the lookout for these buttons, and looking to capture you on camera. If they get a picture of you, and share “I just targeted ____ on the #HitList!” You’ve been targeted!

If you’re targeted the most by the end of San Diego Comic Con, you’ll be drawn into the comic as a target in the upcoming #1 issue of Hit List.

ZENESCOPE ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES BIG PLANS FOR SAN DIEGO COMIC CON 2013

Zenescope Entertainment, the popular comic book publisher known for its edgy content and top-notch exclusive covers, will be once again appearing at booth #2301 just inside the C entrance of the San Diego Convention Center during Comic-Con International which runs July 17th-21st. Zenescope plans to give away thousands of free comics to fans while showcasing their top talent and offering limited edition convention exclusives and products throughout Comic Con.

Zenescope’s giveaways include issue #1 of the company’s new hit series, Grimm Fairy Tales presents OZ (while supplies last), as well as a variety of different comics, on an almost hourly basis during artist and creator signings (check http://blog.zenescope.com for appearances and signing times).

Meanwhile, Zenescope will dedicate Saturday, July 20th to the U.S. Armed Forces by giving away free copies of its brand new Grimm Fairy Tales: Wounded Warriors comic book while also holding signings and a Silent Auction of original cover art by talent such as Jamal Igle, Anthony Spay, Mike DeBalfo, Sean Chen, Alfredo Reyes and Billy Tucci. All silent auction proceeds will go to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Another big draw at booth 2301 will be Zenescope’s interactive “Hit List” game where fans can sign up for free at the booth for a chance to win prizes. The game will run all 4 convention days and involves collecting pictures of other “Hit List” players on one’s smart phone; those who collect the most photos will be awarded Zenescope prize packs worth up to $75 in retail value. Also on the docket for Zenescope, taking place Friday, July 19th from 12pm-1:00pm in Panel Room 4, Zenescope will debut new behind the scenes footage from its Grimm Fairy Tales Animated Pilot. Zenescope Entertainment will be publishing a new original action-thriller comic book series entitled HIT LIST. Zenescope co-founder and Editor-in-Chief, Ralph Tedesco (Grimm Fairy Tales, Salem’s Daughter), will be penning the series which is a slight departure from the mostly supernatural and horror fare Tedesco has co-created with writing partner and Zenescope President, Joe Brusha.

Hit List is a series about an underground crew of professional killers funded by a wealthy entrepreneur. In the first series arc, the collection of assassins attempts to methodically take out members of a dangerous white supremacist gang that deals in human trafficking.

“The story follows an ensemble of very different characters who happen to be paid killers. What if there was someone rich and ballsy enough to put together such a crew because idealistically he wants to make the world safer? I thought it would be fun to explore what could happen and, more importantly, what could go wrong.” says Tedesco “The story is very fast-paced and the action is in-your-face violent. There’s very little downtime in this series which will be a blast for readers.”

Zenescope will also be making Hit List a point of interest during San Diego Comic Con next month with a fun “Hit List” campaign that will allow convention-goers a chance to win prizes at Zenescope Booth 2301 while participating in an interactive experience taking place on the convention floor throughout Comic Con weekend.

The first issue of Hit List is available for pre-order in the July 2013 edition of Diamond Previews and will be released both in print and digitally this September. The series will also offer special Retailer Incentive Exclusive covers for issues #1 through #5 illustrated by star pinup artist, Elias Chatzoudis. Zenescope Entertainment has announced its newest Grimm Fairy Tales spin off mini-series, entitled Grimm Fairy Tales: No Tomorrow. The five part mini-series is a supernatural horror/thriller that could be the scariest comic the company has published since its spine-tingling comic book prequel to the film SE7EN back in 2007.

Set in the not so far off future, the long fought battle between the forces of good and evil has finally come to an end, and now an ancient new horror has entered the Grimm Universe. Keres, the Goddess of the Death, has begun to wreak havoc on an unsuspecting Earth, and one family man will feel the effects more than any other. Now this man must attempt to uncover the truth behind Keres and how to stop her before all is lost. But will his obsession with destroying “death” also prove to be his downfall?

Drawn partially from the tragic loss of a close friend, writer Raven Gregory came up with the idea of a vengeful “Grimm Reaper” who needs to be stopped. “At its core, No Tomorrow is about a man who decides to fight the inevitable, regardless of the consequences,” says Gregory. “It’s horror in its purest form.”

“I’ve wanted to do a story about an angel of death for a long time then Raven suddenly pitched this  to Joe and I and we knew this was the right concept.” said Zenescpe Editor-in-Chief, Ralph Tedesco “Its tragic, scary and thrilling. Those attending the game are encouraged to stop by the tables to find out more about this top ten comic book publisher based in Horsham, PA.

Fans are also invited to dress up as their favorite characters for the costume contest and the top three costumes will win prize packages from Zenescope Entertainment.
