Kickstarter: One Week Left

http://kck.st/wjSM8D

We’re in our last week for the Kickstarter campaign to fund the Grimm Fairy Tales Animated Series. We have aimed to bring our fans the highest quality project we can offer and reward them for their support. We have just announced that all backers of the Kickstarter that pledge $50 or more will get $50 worth of printed back issues, on top of all the other pledge rewards we have previously announced for each level.

 The Newest Incentives!

And we also made a “featured incentive” which has a little bit of everything at a fair price point. We called it The Grimm Bagg.

The Grimm Bagg

Here is an update of all the exciting artist, voice over, and pledge announcements we have made…

We have a great deal of positive support, and we are seeing it from the fans, as well as the talented folks looking to get involved. We now just need the pledges. It is an all or nothing funding system, so if we don’t get fully funded, we won’t receive any funding at all.

We have really appreciated all of the excellent coverage we have been getting on the project, and we just need to make one more big push to reach our goal. We have broken the $100,000 mark today.

ZENESCOPE ENTERTAINMENT ADD BILL SIENKIEWICZ, ALEX PARDEE TO KICKSTARTER PROJECT

ZENESCOPE ENTERTAINMENT ADD BILL SIENKIEWICZ, ALEX PARDEE TO KICKSTARTER PROJECT

Philadelphia,PA, April 17, 2012 – Zenescope Entertainment has announced that renowned artists Bill Sienkiewicz and Alex Pardee have joined on the Grimm Fairy Tales Animated Series Kickstarter project. The Kickstarter project is in its final two weeks of funding and is looking for a goal of $175,000.

Here is the video announcement: http://youtu.be/lBQFAPDfr70

The talent associated with this project continues to grow, with Zenescope having recently announced the actresses Lena Headey (Game of Thrones, 300) and Briana Evigan (Sorority Row, The Devil’s Carnival) have joined the cast.  Jon Schnepp (Metalocalypse, The Venture Bros.) is directing with Titmouse Studios handling the animation.  Now the team has added legendary artist Bill Sienkiewicz and the ultra-talented Alex Pardee to the mix of animators/designers. This collection of talent makes the Grimm Animated Series one of the highest-quality projects featured on Kickstarter right now. Companies have also seen the project as a worthwhile project to support, with Kickstarter making the project a Staff Pick, and ComiXology handling all of the digital comic rewards.

Zenescope has also put together the definitive rewards package called the “Grimm Bagg”, which features rewards from everyone involved, including the blu-ray combo pack of the series, poster, an art book, graphic novel, signed glossy, trading card and more.  The idea is to get 1000 supporters who want to help make this happen to pledge for the $98 Grimm Bagg which would get this project fully funded.  Pledgers are not charged anything unless the project reaches its goal on May 1st.

To pledge to Zenescope’s Grimm Fairy Tales Animated series go to http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/212378023/grimm-fairy-tales-animated-series

Or go to www.kickstarter.com and search for Zenescope.

Lena Headey joins the Animated Series Kickstarter Project!

Zenescope Entertainment has announced that actress Lena Headey, star of the immensely popular HBO television series GAME OF THRONES, will be joining the Grimm Fairy Tales Animated Series to voice the lead character, Sela Mathers.  Lena’s extensive resume includes her role as Queen Gorgo in 300 and as Sarah Connor in TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES.   This announcement comes on the heels of another talented actress, Briana Evigan (Step Up 2, Sorority Girls, The Devil’s Carnival), having joined onto the project last week.

The GRIMM FAIRY TALES Animated Series will be based on Zenescope Entertainment’s popular comic book series of the same name.  What makes this situation unique is that Zenescope has teamed with Titmouse Animation Studio and Director Jon Schnepp (Metalocalypse, The  Venture Bros.) to bypass the traditional film studio system by seeking funding  for the  animated series through popular website Kickstarter.com (http://kck.st/wjSM8D ).  The project is live on Kickstarter now until May 1st, 2012 and has a pledge goal of $175,000.

“We set the goal of the animated series at 175K because we wanted to give our fans and those supporting the Kickstarter a high-quality product.” Explains Zenescope Marketing Manager Stephen Haberman “We’re partnering with Titmouse, one of the premiere animation studios in the world, to handle the animation.  We have Jon Schnepp directing and now with Lena and Briana joining the project, we’re able to take it to another level.”

“Crowd-funding can be a powerful tool.  We’ve seen some really exciting projects find funding through Kickstarter and it’s a game changer.”  Said Zenescope’s Editor-in-Chief, Ralph Tedesco “It gives us a chance to make this series the way our fans want to see it be made.  We’re about a third of the way there with funding and hopefully now with the all of the talent we’ve brought on board fans will see that this can be an amazing project to back.”

ZENESCOPE ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN FOR GRIMM FAIRY TALES ANIMATED SERIES

Zenescope Entertainment is proud to announce the launch of the Grimm Fairy Tales Animated Series Kickstarter campaign. The animated series will be directed by Jon Schnepp as well as the Titmouse Inc. animation studio. The Kickstarter will launch on Friday, March 16, 2012 and will run until May 1st, 2012.

The project requires a budget of $175,000 to cover the cost of the pilot episode and to produce the foundation materials necessary to continue the series. Any additional funds will go towards adding additional episodes to the series.

Zenescope Entertainment President Joe Brusha had this to say:

“We believe that our Grimm Fairy Tales comic book series would make an excellent animated series, and we’ve been pitching the idea to the Hollywood big-wigs for years. They’ve said “There is too much Fairy Tales stuff out there”, or “No one wants to see a gritty, dark, modern take on the fairy tales.” That’s where they’re wrong. We have tons of devoted fans that would love to see more of our series, and that is our chance and yours to make it happen.”

Grimm Fairy Tales has been the flagship series of Zenescope Entertainment since the company started. Zenescope has grown to a top comic book publisher due to its continued success. Grimm Fairy Tales is currently the longest running independent color comic being published today and has over 1 million copies in print.

Jon Schnepp will be directing this project. He is one of the hottest animation directors inHollywood, having already seen a great deal of success working on such series as Aqua Teen Hunger Force , Metalocalypse, and the Venture Brothers. Not only will Jon be working closely with the creators of the comic book, Joe Brusha and Ralph Tedesco; Zenescope will be enlisting Titmouse Inc, one of the premiere animation studios, to help with this vision.

Titmouse Inc is a premiere animation studio with top-tier talent and experience. Jon Schnepp has worked with them before on many of his projects, and much of their work rounds out the Adult Swim animation block on Cartoon Network. Their variety of experience is suited well for the Grimm Fairy Tales animation series anthology.

Now head over to the Kickstarter page and give as much as you can. The more you give, the more you get!!!

Zenescope Announces Alice in Wonderland Sell-Outs and Reprint

Zenescope Entertainment has announced plans for a second printing of Alice in Wonderland #1. The company’s newest Wonderland mini-series was released in January of 2012 and the initial printing sold through its 20,000 copy print run within the first few days of its release.

Further, the company has announced that Alice in Wonderland #2 has also sold out of its first printing within one day of its release after hitting shelves Wednesday, February 22nd.

Zenescope has decided to go to a second printing of issue #1 due to significant demand for additional copies from retailers and fans. Zenescope is hoping to have this second printing of issue #1 available for a March release. The company has not yet announced a reprint of issue #2.

“In five years of publishing various Wonderland mini-series, we’ve seen the demand for more Wonderland continue to increase.” said Zenescope EIC Ralph Tedesco. “Our loyal fan base has been at the heart of it all and we can’t express enough gratitude for their support.”

This news comes on the heels of CS Moore’s announcement for an Alice in Wonderland action figure. The figure was sculpted by industry star Clayburn Moore as Zenescope has teamed with CS Moore Studios to release a series of action figures based on Zenescope’s strong and sexy heroines from the series.

Alice in Wonderland #1 and #2 can currently be downloaded digitally using the Zenescope app for iphone and ipad and at Comxiology for ios or android users.

Literally Breaking News: Fowls Get Revenge for Thanksgiving

January 31, 2012

Horsham, PA

Superbowl Sunday has not only been the largest sporting event in America, but is well-named, as it is also one of the largest days of food consumption in the states. The second largest day of heavy consumption in fact. Of course, the only day that surpasses the super bowl in heavy food consumption is, in fact, Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a time when many, many families choose to serve turkey as the main course. For a turkey, Thanksgiving is a terrible day for its population. Now, turkeys, even after their last breath, have found a way to strike back at us on football Sundays…
