ZENESCOPE ANNOUNCES SALT LAKE CITY COMIC CON 2014 PLANS

Zenescope Entertainment has announced its plans for Salt Lake City Comic Con 2014 at the Salt Palace Convention Center, Salt Lake City, UT – April 17th-19th.  The company will be exhibiting at booth #1924, and will have on hand its newest trade paperback releases, high end art prints, hardcover collections, and exclusive comics.

ZENESCOPE AND CBS BRING BACK CHARMED

Zenescope Entertainment and CBS Consumer Products are bringing the fan-favorite series CHARMED back to comic book and graphic novel formats this Fall. Zenescope published the first 24 issues of the bestselling series from June 2010 through September 2012.

Constance M. Burge created the popular TV series, which starred Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan and Shannen Doherty. Charmed aired from 1998 through 2006, and found a new life as original comics when Zenescope began publishing “Season 9” four years ago. Now, Zenescope will release a brand new “Season 10” in an on-going monthly comic book series with trade paperback collections released twice each year.
“I’m so glad to announce this news.” said Zenescope Editor-in-Chief, Ralph Tedesco.

“Charmed fans are an extremely rabid and loyal group. They write us all the time, asking about Season 10 since it’s been almost two years since the last issue was released. The first issue of Season 10 will debut at New York Comic Con the weekend of October 9, 2014. Original comic book series writer Paul Ruditis will edit the series and Zenescope writer Pat Shand (Angel, Robyn Hood) takes the helm penning the new arc. The art team will be announced next month.

ZENESCOPE ANNOUNCES WORLD ST. LOUIS 2014

Zenescope Entertainment has announced plans for Wizard World St. Louis 2014 at the Americas Center in St. Louis, MO from April 4th to April 6th. The company will be exhibiting at the show at Booth #309.

Design Internship
The Design Internship is a fast paced, exciting position as our team and business continue to grow. Candidates should be highly organized, capable of multi-tasking, and possess a strong desire to learn new skills and take on extra responsibilities. The Design Intern will report to the Senior Designer/Production Manager.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Hands on experience in creating Zenescope’s monthly ad in Diamond Previews for all upcoming products and titles.
  • Assisting the design team in production of Zenescope hottest comics, graphic novels, and merchandise.
  • Working with the sales and marketing teams in creating content for the web, newsletters, and presentations.
  • Special projects assigned by Senior design staff, i.e flyers, convention materials, catalogues

What You Will Learn:

  • Learn the ins and outs of the comic industry from the book production process to the final product.
  • Learn how logo, type, and branding work in conjunction with comic and illlustrative art.
  • Typographic layout skills
  • Become fully proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • How to effectively hit deadlines.

What We Require:

  • Majoring in Graphic Design, Illustration, or Print making or related field
    • A sense of humor.
    • Have experience of working under tight deadlines
    • Have patience, persistence, great attention to detail
    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office.
    • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
    • Be able to work independently or as part of a group.

Marketing Internship

The Marketing Intern will report to the Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Collaborating with senior staff in the planning, execution and optimization of campaigns and Comic conventions to deliver large volumes of high-potential leads
  • Assist senior staff in planning, promoting, organizing and staffing of comic conventions.
  • Marketing analytics research and optimization.
  • Providing assistance in online media channel activities, including social media initiatives, monitoring digital activity, email, display marketing and e-commerce
  • Contributing innovative ideas for strong & creative marketing campaigns

What You Will Learn:

  • How to create a long term social media plan and marketing calendar.
  • Marketing for production and publishing large volumes of comic books and graphic novels
  • Relationship building with our online community by maintaining Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other media accounts.

Enter the Age of Darkness

November, 2013 — Zenescope Entertainment has announced plans for a new event that will become part of the long running hit comic book series, Grimm Fairy Tales. The event is called Age of Darkness and will involve most of Zenescope’s Grimm Universe spinoff series as well as its flagship title, Grimm Fairy Tales as it approaches its landmark 100th issue, due out July 2014.

“Everything we’ve ever done in the Grimm Fairy Tales has led up to this event and the Grimm Universe will be forever changed by this,” states Zenescope President, Joe Brusha. “We’re thrilled that this series has lasted so long and we’re even more excited to see it evolve into something bigger now with the Age of Darkness event.”

Age of Darkness will first hit the Grimm Universe starting in two spinoff titles: Quest and Code Red. But 2014 will get more intense as the Age of Darkness descends upon multiple Grimm Fairy Tales series including Robyn Hood, Neverland, Inferno and Wonderland: Clash of Queens.

“We’re definitely going to shock some fans as we lead up to #100,” says Editor-in-Chief Ralph Tedesco. “But Age of Darkness is not being done simply for shock value, we want this ride that our fans have taken with us for the past eight years to really pay off.”
